ABOUT THE PRODUCTION…
Ready For Love is the story of a runaway girl who sought refuge in the sex industry. Now, as an adult, she reflects on her stolen innocence and finds reconciliation with her haunting past.
Ready For Love is based on the true story of Lorri Moore. The film was produced by Amy Adler (Writer, Director, Sound Designer) and Brian Scofield (Producer, Editor, Cinematographer) as a first year film in the MFA program at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. The film was a collaboration between Amy Adler, Brian Scofield, Kate Nielsen (Writer) and Lorri Moore.
Amy Adler and Kate Nielsen met Lorri Moore in the spring of 2008. They were, and remain to be, captivated by the scope of Lorri’s story, her grace and sense of personal dignity.
Ready For Love was shot over five days in January 2009. It was shot on location on the set of an adult film directed by Lorri Moore (working as Skye Blue.) It was also shot on location at Lorri’s ranch and other locations in Los Angeles. The film includes documentary and archival footage as well as flashback scenes that were cast and staged for the production. An in depth interview with Lorri was recorded and excerpts from that interview are used as voice over in the film.
Ready For Love is the story of how one woman finds self-respect and dignity in a typically disrespected arena. With its unexpected twists and turns, Lorri Moore’s emotional story surprises and inspires.
